Mission Statement
“The purposes of the society are the enhancement of public knowledge of the history of the southern Mono County region and the collection, interpretation and display of artifacts pertaining to such history and culture. The society will make open to the public its collection and resources.”
The museum is an Inyo National Forest facility that is being operated by the Southern Mono Historical Society.
